Helping others grow

I chose to follow my father’s footsteps and join the U.S. Air Force after high school. After my enlistment, I was able to secure a job as a UNIX system administrator for a large company in my hometown. Life as a single, working mom proved to be challenging, but I found it even more challenging to find my career path in the civilian world. From positions that were "just a job" to positions where I felt valued, I have found what works and what doesn't in the workplace. I have learned from mistakes I have made and years of experience and personal growth. Combined with that I have had some pretty great bosses and inspirational mentors along the way.  My experience ranges from jobs in IT, data security, access and identity management, and scrum and agile projects.  I have been a deskside support person, an auditor, a trainer, to eventually my latest role- an agile coach.  While I was seeking what was next for me, I always found myself as the "go to" person for advice, the one people considered a mentor and a trusted space no matter what job I was in. It was then I realized I have a passion for people and giving them the tools they need to be successful. 

It brings me great joy to see others thrive and learn new skills that benefit the way they work.
