What is coaching?
According to the International Coaching Federation's website, coaching is defined as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.
How does it work?
1. Bring Clarity
A client will often bring a large goal or topic they have in mind to their first session. Many times the task at hand seems daunting. The coach asks thought-provoking questions to help the client gain clarity and find direction.
2. Define goals and develop a plan
As the coach, I help clients identify their goals and uncover the actions they need to take to get there. I don't solve the problem for them, but I help by asking powerful questions to generate insight and keep the client moving forward. I help create an actionable plan to help you reach your end goal.
3. Accountability Partner
As your coach, I am your accountability partner to walk alongside you as you work towards your goals. I help keep you on track if you stray off the path and help you reach your goals by being with you every step of the way.
Benefits
The direct benefit to the client is having a strategy in place that will allow you to reach your goal, one step at a time. Whether it's transitioning from military to civilian life, looking for a new job, starting your own business, or solving your workplace challenges, I can help you create a plan. For executive leaders, the emotional intelligence and communication skills you will learn and apply will allow you to collaborate better with others and lead more effectively. As a result, your workplace challenges will be easier to solve.
