Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find some of the most common questions I am asked about coaching. If you don't see your question here, please feel free to text me, call me, or email me directly.

What is the difference between a coach and a therapist?

Great question! Therapists diagnose patients, analyze, and treat them as needed. Therapists identify what is wrong and tell the patient what is needed to fix it. Coaches are accountability partners that help clarify a problem or situation, establish goals, and help pave a way forward. Both therapists and coaches treat sessions with confidentiality.

What is a coach?

A coach is someone who is there to listen and guide you along your journey as you work towards a specific goal. A coach and client have a co-creative relationship and work together in order for the client to generate insight or identify next steps. Coaches help create the path with the client and walk alongside them every step of the way.

Who needs a coach?

Honestly no one "needs" a coach, but those who are motivated to work towards their goals and grow as individuals reap the benefits of coaching. Individuals who are driven to become a better person, worker, communicator, leader, friend, spouse, or significant other can benefit from coaching.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

I offer a free consultation/coaching session to give you the opportunity to hear more about coaching. I explain the role of coach and client and provide a sample coaching session to allow you to experience it firsthand. As with any service, the connection should feel right for both coach and client.
